“We cannot attract and retain the best and brightest talent to lead and staff the AIG businesses” AIG’s current state is the result of decision from the “best and brightest talent” why would you retain “them” or want to attract more with the same? Even the AIG person who made that statement could not have been very bright; otherwise he would have realized the implication of what he was saying, and felt too embarrassed to make that statement at the very least……
